In reply to carosusie; I work with individuals using Classical Kinesiology to test for the root cause of symptoms. I'm so pleased you have taken your daughter to a naturopath who uses EFT, and hope you have success. Almost all of the people I see have underlying emotional issues that causes their symptoms to become aggravated. The emotional issues vary, from a specific trauma experienced to a percieved fear or thought and many in between. I am generalizing here as everyone is so unique, it takes many contributory factors to cause an individuals symptoms. Kinesiology takes the guess work out of assessing the symptoms, testing for structural, bio-chemical, emotional and electrical imbalances and then the best therapy for each imbalance. The end result is a specific program of emotional support and nutrition. This is ongoing to move the client to improved health and welbeing.....whatever that may mean for them.
Carosusie, if you have any specific questions you'd like to ask me (although I'm based currently in the UK) I'll be happy to speak to you either directly or by email. I have also completed a couple of research papers on infant health, if you would like to read those. On a personal note, my (now 14 year old) daughter also had eczema, this spurred me on in my studies to help her. She is now eczema free (and stress free too!)

There is no doubt that stress is a huge contributory factor in the aggravation of eczema not just in children but adults too. Louise Hay talks about it at length in her book "You Can Heal Your Life". I also know that kinisiologists routinely tackle this aspect of disease.

You could try Bach Rescue remedy under the tongue before she goes to bed and rescue cream. Cammomila is very calmning too. Anything to take the anger out!

My daughter is 5 and has had eczema since she was 2. She's allergic to dairy and her eczema has worsened over that past few years. We've gone to dermatologists(we live in houston texas). She's been on antihisamines and steroid creams, over the counter creams. You name it we've tried it. I am now looking at a more natural approach. We did alternative medicine for 2 years but didn't help much but at least the doctor pinpointed her dairy allergy. Now we are switching to a naturopath which takes into account not only her eczema and food allergies but her emotional aspect and teaching her something called EFT(emotional freedom technique). We just went yesterday and we will have to do an extreme change in our diet too. Eating more organic and healthier things. My daughter's eczema breakouts increase drastically when she's under stress and being on a regular daily routine help. Bad breakouts cause her to loose sleep and be more moody and aggressive out of frustration at times. Has anybody paid attention to this aspect of eczema in their kids?

Mel
There are other foods indicated with eczema such as tomato, oranges, eggs and possibly yeast or wheat. It is difficult to say which though without testing you both. Where abouts are you in the UK?

Thanks so much, I will get in touch with Biocare. My son is currently only breastfed with a small bottle (3 ounces or so) of formula once a day to keep him used to taking a bottle. I have switched to a hypoallergenic formula (Neocate)
and given up dairy in my own diet, but still the eczema prevails! Maybe I need to give it more time? Or could it be a different allergy eg wheat/fish/eggs? Am eating only a little of these too but it means my diet is very restricted and am afraid my milk production goes down. Any further suggestions wold be most appreciated, thank you again so much for your information!

Mel
The probiotic powder would be fine for your son. Call Biocare on 0121 433 3727 to ascertain which particular bacterial strains would be best for him. L-Glutamine is not recommended for children under 7 years unfortunately but the probiotics will do an enormous amount of good for his immune system and therefore in turn for his skin.

Are you giving him cows formula milk or soya formula or even goats formula.

Sorry don't know of any testers in Australia.

Hi. My 4 month old son has eczema. Is he too young to take Probiotic powder and L Glutamine (amino acid)? If not, where do I purchase these products? Are they in any of the special formulas / milk powders? Also, are you aware of any allergy testing operators in Sydney Australia? Thanks
