My 11 month old daughter also have bad eczema on face since she was 8 months old.
Originally she started her eczema on her arms and legs when she was 5 months but thank to Physiogel AI cream the eczema had been under well control and skin back to normal like a real baby skin.

Her face's just can't get any better. We've tried aloe gelly, aloe propolis cream, tea tree oil cream, papaw ointment, calendula camomile cream....you name it.....
sadly, only 1% hydrocortisone works and we hated it....

very frustrating....and depressing indeed.

If you are having dairy prodicts in your diet then please try cutting them out as they will be transferring to your baby also try cutting dairy products out of your other childs diet too. You would benefit from getting them tested so as you can ascertain whether they can tolerate goats or soya milk. If you would like to go to our enquiries for your nearest tester on the web site we can direct you to your nearest tester.

Polly,
I have recommended Nanny to several mums and their babies have adapted to it really well. Biocare do an infant probiotic that can be introduced alongside this.
The combination has been very successful for infantile ezcema in particular.

Polly,
Soya allergies are rare but I take your point. There is a Nanny Goat Formula milk available that many babies thrive on, it is called "Nanny" and is available from good independant health food shops and also on the internet.

I would be interested to know which alternative infant formulas have been found most useful for babies with a milk intolerance. The most obvious replacement is soya, but this risks introducing another allergen.

In reply to carosusie; I work with individuals using Classical Kinesiology to test for the root cause of symptoms. I'm so pleased you have taken your daughter to a naturopath who uses EFT, and hope you have success. Almost all of the people I see have underlying emotional issues that causes their symptoms to become aggravated. The emotional issues vary, from a specific trauma experienced to a percieved fear or thought and many in between. I am generalizing here as everyone is so unique, it takes many contributory factors to cause an individuals symptoms. Kinesiology takes the guess work out of assessing the symptoms, testing for structural, bio-chemical, emotional and electrical imbalances and then the best therapy for each imbalance. The end result is a specific program of emotional support and nutrition. This is ongoing to move the client to improved health and welbeing.....whatever that may mean for them.
Carosusie, if you have any specific questions you'd like to ask me (although I'm based currently in the UK) I'll be happy to speak to you either directly or by email. I have also completed a couple of research papers on infant health, if you would like to read those. On a personal note, my (now 14 year old) daughter also had eczema, this spurred me on in my studies to help her. She is now eczema free (and stress free too!)

There is no doubt that stress is a huge contributory factor in the aggravation of eczema not just in children but adults too. Louise Hay talks about it at length in her book "You Can Heal Your Life". I also know that kinisiologists routinely tackle this aspect of disease.

You could try Bach Rescue remedy under the tongue before she goes to bed and rescue cream. Cammomila is very calmning too. Anything to take the anger out!

My daughter is 5 and has had eczema since she was 2. She's allergic to dairy and her eczema has worsened over that past few years. We've gone to dermatologists(we live in houston texas). She's been on antihisamines and steroid creams, over the counter creams. You name it we've tried it. I am now looking at a more natural approach. We did alternative medicine for 2 years but didn't help much but at least the doctor pinpointed her dairy allergy. Now we are switching to a naturopath which takes into account not only her eczema and food allergies but her emotional aspect and teaching her something called EFT(emotional freedom technique). We just went yesterday and we will have to do an extreme change in our diet too. Eating more organic and healthier things. My daughter's eczema breakouts increase drastically when she's under stress and being on a regular daily routine help. Bad breakouts cause her to loose sleep and be more moody and aggressive out of frustration at times. Has anybody paid attention to this aspect of eczema in their kids?
